The Mater Dei Fund:
The Mater Dei Fund, our Annual Giving Campaign, is Mater Dei’s most essential fundraising effort and involves the entire Mater Dei Prep community – parents, alumni, faculty and staff and friends. Annual Giving creates critical budget enhancing revenue supporting the people and programs that make Mater Dei exceptional: support for talented students, faculty, financial aid, technology, and enriching arts and athletic programs. The funds raised through our Annual Fund appeal and our Named Scholar Program, help us make a Mater Dei Prep education affordable to the most qualified candidates through need-based financial aid support.
We hope that you identify Annual Giving to the Mater Dei Fund as one of your top philanthropic priorities this year, recognizing the significant impact of your contribution. By joining the “culture of philanthropy” at Mater Dei Prep, you help raise much needed funds for use in the current school year. We encourage you to consider a gift at the Leadership Level (Seraph Society) of $1,000 or more, if you are able.
Participation in giving at any level is among the most tangible way you can express your support for Mater Dei Prep. Every gift counts! Every gift matters! So please, Partner with Prep and make a difference today!
Named Scholar Program:
Our Named Scholars are students from a wide variety of backgrounds who will benefit from the transformative learning experience we offer. With adequately funded financial resources, we can deliver to these diverse, talented, and motivated students the education they deserve. In turn, these students contribute to the fabric of our entire community, and use their Mater Dei Prep education as a foundation for an extraordinary future.
The McLaughlin Challenge:
Ed “Skip” McLaughlin (’74) has challenged 10 community members to meet his generous gift to Mater Dei Prep of $100,000 over four years. To date, five other Seraphs have met his challenge; we invite four more to join the effort to achieve this goal
