On Thursday, April 4th, The Mater Dei Prep Global Leaders Institute in partnership with UN NGO Pathways To Peace were invited to speak at the 22nd Annual Gandhi-King “A Season for Nonviolence Conference” honoring Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. The Gandhi-King Season for Nonviolence (SNV) commences on January 30, in cities across the globe. The annual 64 day campaign, co-founded in 1998 by Dr. Arun Gandhi and The Association for Global New Thought (AGNT), is an educational, media and grassroots awareness campaign spanning the January 30th and April 4th memorial anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Students from Mater Dei Prep’s performing and visual arts departments received six nominations at the 2019 Monmouth Teen Arts Festival at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft, NJ on March 21-22. The festival, a two-day event held every March, provides fun and interactive workshops and professional critiques of student performances and exhibitions.

On Friday, March 1st, The Permanent Observer Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations hosted a conference at the United Nations headquarters on the status of global religious freedom and combatting religious persecution.
On Saturday, February 9, Mater Dei Prep held its signature fundraising event, the Seraph Strong Gala, at The Sheraton Eatontown Hotel, in Eatontown. The sold-out event drew a record-breaking crowd, the most financially successful in the school’s history, featuring alumni, parents, students, and supporters, according to Donald Galante, the school’s President. A highlight of the evening was Mr. Galante’s announcement of a new alumni-gifted Science Center, a new Technology Center, and a newly-funded scholarship, as well as enrollment for incoming classes matching or exceeding expectations.
On Wednesday, February 6th, six Mater Dei Prep seniors proudly signed their National Letter of Intent to continue their academic and football careers on National Signing Day. The Seraph student-athletes join the Boston College duo of Izaiah Henderson and Shitta Sillah, who signed in December on National Early Signing Day. Mater Dei Prep was proud to have eight student-athletes in total commit to prestigious universities between both Signing Days.
Congratulations to our six Seraphs on the Mater Dei Prep football team who signed their National Letter of Intent to continue their academic and athletic career at the collegiate level on National Signing Day! In total the Seraph football team had 8 student-athletes commit to prestigious universities on Early Signing Day and National Signing Day. We know these young men will continue to make the Mater Dei Prep community proud. Great job Seraphs!
Mater Dei Prep is pleased to announce the 4th annual essay competition for its Future Seraph Scholarship. The $1,000.00 scholarship is for those students looking to continue their Catholic high school education at Mater Dei Prep in Middletown, NJ.
On Friday, January 11, 2019, Mater Dei Prep was honored to host the first graduation ceremony for students in the Emergency Medical Services and Nursing Institute. Sixty five Mater Dei Prep students, ranging from freshmen to seniors, graduated from the Health/Emergency Medical Response course and received their national Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification as well as their healthcare provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
Mater Dei Prep is proud of the amount of high caliber applicants that applied for the Class of 2023. The Mater Dei Prep faculty and administration are extremely excited to welcome all prospective students to the Seraph family
On Saturday, February 9th, Mater Dei Prep will hold the Seraph Strong Gala, at the newly renovated Sheraton Eatontown Hotel in Eatontown, NJ. The annual Seraph Strong Gala is Mater Dei Prep’s signature event to honor alumni, community leaders and others who support Mater Dei Prep’s mission. As the largest fundraiser of the year, the gala enables Mater Dei Prep to continue its tradition of excellence in education and commitment to Catholic values. This year’s event honors Gerry Harper (MD ’71) and John Cahill (MD ’73).
