NOELLE DEBIASE TO REPRESENT NJ AND MDP FOR THE NATIONAL HEART OF THE ARTS AWARD!

Mater Dei Prep is thrilled to announce that former Seraph Player, Noelle DeBiase (’20), will represent the state of New Jersey and Mater Dei Prep for the National Heart of the Arts Award! One winner from each state is chosen and a section winner and national winner will be chosen from the 50 state candidates.

The Heart of the Arts Award was started by The National Federation of High Schools (NFHS) and seeks to recognize individuals who represent the "heart of the arts" ideals that embody core mission education-based activities.  The recipient can be any student, adult, or group associated with a high school performing arts program who has overcome adversity or challenging circumstances.

Noelle was nominated by Mrs. Dwyer and Mrs. Cole for her time with the Seraph Players and her outstanding academic record at MDP. Noelle has an inspiring story of perseverance as she has dealt with numerous medical issues since birth including Hypotonia and high functioning autism. (Hypotonia is the state of decreased muscle tone in the body and includes problems with mobility and posture, breathing and speech difficulties, ligament and joint laxity, and poor reflexes.)

We are extremely proud of Noelle and will ensure to report back as section winners and the national winner is announced! Good luck Noelle!
