Cecilia Hatton, Mater Dei Prep class of ’81, has been revolutionizing the way women collaborate on technology as the Director of the annual Tech Up For Women Conference. Along with a female colleague, the Tech Up For Women brand was created and started hosting an annual conference for technology education and how women can progress in the tech world we live in today. Not only did 700 women attend last year but more than 1200 women have enrolled thus far for this year’s conference on November 19th at the Javits Center in New York City. A phenomenal accomplishment from the company is making the Forbes Top Five Most Inspiring Conferences of 2018. Forbes states, “The Tech Up For Women Conference is a hub of idea exchange and advocacy around the issue of the advancement of women in technology.” Numerous speakers attend from renowned tech based companies and share their perspective and knowledge in their field. Great to see an amazing accomplishment by a Seraph alumna. To check out more about Cecilia’s event, visit www.techupforwomen.com.
